Integrasi Islam dan Kesehatan (Suatu Pendekatan Prophetic Medicine)

Abstrak

This article aims to elaborate Islam and health which focuses on the relationship of Islam and health. The data refer to authoritative resources, particularly hadiths in books of hadith about health by applying a thematic method supported by several references including Prophetic Medicine and others. The result that Islam stands on the principle of “preventive action is prioritized more than treatment (curative action)”. This is equivalent to principle of “dar‟ al-mafasid muqaddamun „ala jalb almasalih”. Diagnosing the kind of diseases and the causes before doing medicine. Therefore, physical diseases should be medicated throuh relevant procedures like non physical diseases by using a spritual approach.
